Blacks Solicitors Kick-Start Fundraising for Leeds Mind

This year Blacks’ employees voted for Leeds Mind to be their chosen Charity of the Year and the CSR team have been busy developing an exciting events calendar full of fundraising activities for the year ahead!

In addition to raising money, we also want to do our best to raise awareness of Leeds Mind who provide the local community with a variety of mental health services.

Our first event of the year took place just before Easter, on Thursday 18 April, where Blacks’ staff unleashed their inner Mary Berry’s and provided a fantastic spread of goodies.

There was something for everyone from rocky road and chocolate brownies, to donuts and pastries.

The bake sale was accompanied by a tombola filled with wonderful prizes. There were many exciting items up for grabs such as a bouquet of flowers, a pair of speakers, and bottles of vintage wine.

We are proud to say that we raised a grand total of £415, and would like to thank everyone for their contributions. Whether this was purchasing/baking a cake, having a go on the tombola, or providing the prizes!

As a firm, we would also like to express our thanks to all the local businesses who contributed including the Co-op and Tesco who showed their support by donating a range of chocolate and vouchers.

The support of the community always lends a helping hand in raising funds for charities and we are very grateful to them.

Overall, our first fundraiser was a brilliant success and we look forward to our next event of the year. Stay tuned to follow our fundraising footsteps!
