Lucy Melville joined Blacks Solicitors as a Solicitor in the Employment team in 2021.
Prior to joining Blacks, Lucy was a Senior Paralegal in the Employment team at a leading international law firm. After undertaking her training contract at a regional law firm in Leeds, she qualified as a Solicitor in January 2021.
Lucy has acted for a wide range of large UK employers defending Employment Tribunal proceedings, including claims of unfair dismissal and complex claims of race, sex, and disability discrimination.
Lucy also has experience of advising individuals and businesses on settlement agreements and exit strategies, drafting contacts of employment and preparing employee handbooks and policies.
